If you are interested in starting a local chapter here are some ideas on how you can do so and what you need to do.
Find a location
You will probably be able to find a local club or location just by asking around. Many places are willing to open their doors and allow people to use their place during regular working hours.
Contact Us
Reach us through the contact page and let us know that you have a location and what days and times you plan on holding meetings. We will create a web page for you complete with details and when and where your meetings are being held. If you want us to keep information about who is expected to come to your upcoming meetings please let us know and we will update your page.
Contact the local media
if you contact the local media and inform them that you are starting a local chapter you may find that many are willing to put information about what the group is about, who is running it, and who is planning on speaking at your events. They may even attend themselves looking for story ideas from your speakers.
Contact local officials
Contact candidates who are running and ask them to come and speak at your meeting. Many of the candidates who are running can be found in one or more of the web sites listed in our resources section. Many are willing to come and speak to the people at your meetings and will gladly accept your invitation. If you need assistance in reaching out to candidates please feel free to contact us at info@ivotemn.org
